About Quick Arts Grants


We’re pleased to be able to grant funds to local community individual artists and organizations/ groups through a more flexible, though less funded pool of money. Maximum amount awarded at one time is $625, but smaller grants are available.

 

2024 Awards to Date:

$625 to West Brunswick High School for Spring Theatre Production of Little Shop of Horrors.

2023 Awards:

$500 to Friends of Rourk Library for Basic Drawing & Introduction to Neocolor Classes

$200 to South Brunswick High School for Guest Choral Accompanist.

$150 to Writer Joan Leotta for Zoom Fees for Visual Meetings of Brunswick County Story tellers, Authors & Poets monthly.

$550 to Field of Dreams Artist Business hardship support.

$550 to HT Hill Music for NC Gullah Community Elders Day in Brunswick County.

$550 to Carol Yaquinto for Support teaching Figure Drawing Class.

$550 for Richard Staat to support teaching Watercolor classes.

$600 to Tina Smith – Marketing/HULU Beta of HARD Music Video/CD.

$527.67 Coastal Carolina Outreach for Percussion instruments to start Teen Programs

Guidelines

Eligibility: Generally not a 501(c)3, municipality or school. Can cover a wide range of projects and ideas. Proprietary to the BAC and a more flexible, though less funded, pool of money. Maximum amount awarded at one time is $625, but smaller grants are available. In order to be considered, all requests must include the following:

1) cover sheet on your organizations Letterhead

2) project narrative what the project is, who will benefit

3) how much requested from BAC

4) other sources of funding (cash and in-kind) 

5) timeline and who is responsible

6) outcomes/results of success and

7) support materials to aide Board in determination.

 

Considerations: Activities with the broadest impact and outreach, and projects with a proven history of success are favored over unproven programs with narrow audiences.

Timing: Application period is quarterly.  For example: Applications received between July 1-September 30 will be decided in October. 

Applications will be awarded quarterly – Apply at any time in the cycle.

  • 1st QTR: July-Sept. 
  • 2nd QTR: Oct-Dec. 
  • 3rd QTR: Jan-March
  • 4th QTR: April- June

Summer 2019 Award 

$625 to Richard Staat to offset room rental costs for on going weekly Watercolor Classes for Teaching Artists in Brunswick County at Franklin Square Gallery, Southport.
