Volunteer with BAC

Looking to donate and become a member? Interested in donating your time and talents? Consider volunteering with BAC.

Brunswick Arts Council is always looking for energetic and qualified volunteers to help us bring our mission to life by connecting people through art. As a volunteer you’ll explore new areas of interest, meet inspiring people, get involved with our county’s diverse cultural community, attend social and educational events, and learn transferable skills. Volunteer hours are available on either a regular or an on-call basis during weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Corporate groups, individuals, and teens are all welcome. Fill out our volunteer form and send it in -or  email us to find out more about a certain type of volunteering.

Event Volunteers

The BAC has various committees that work with staff year-round to assist with various events and projects. There is always something new around the corner—special exhibitions, workshops, lectures, performances, festivals. To ensure the success of these programs, we rely heavily upon the gifts of time and talent that volunteers give.

Come help with an activity or event, whether it is our Annual Art Show, 5K Run, helping to create a community piece of art work like a mural, or being extra hands at a festival.  You can help the day of, or with pre-planning on a committee or behind the scenes – let us know what interests you.

Grant Volunteers

BAC has two types of volunteers – one sitting on our grant panel and helping to make decisions, another is to attend some of the funded activities throughout the year and audit (providing independent feedback to the council).

Arts Ambassador

Our Arts Ambassadors is a program designed to allow networking among businesses and artists and arts groups across the county. Meeting 3x a year in person or by Zoom (during the pandemic).  It is an advisory council to the board, a method for all ages, backgrounds and  interests to help bring needs and initiatives to the forefront.

Board Member or Committee

Our BAC Board is also seeking interested people to participate in our behind the scenes administration of the organizations. Meeting 12 x/ a year in person or by Zoom (during the pandemic).  Helping guide, implement the mission and the strategic plan.

Student Intern or Independent Study

If you are currently studying art, administration, marketing, nonprofit, recreation and any other coursework and you feel that BAC might be a fun place to work with – please fill out a form and indicate your interests.  We can work with you and your teacher to create project based or semester based support that will help both you and BAC working with the Arts!
